Support the legal actions to save People’s Park
To ALL who believe in preserving and growing the legacy and natural beauty of People’s Park: Now is the time to come to its aid. This 53 year struggle has been very successful lately THANKS TO OUR LEGAL TEAM. They have won court orders that now prohibit UC from beginning construction or even putting a fence up around our park. On July 29, 2022 that very formidable team of lawyers will present grounds for invalidating UC’s very inadequate Environmental Impact Report (EIR) on Housing Project #2 (People’s Park housing). Prevailing on July 29 would set UC back, require a new EIR, and motivate building on an alternative site.
Legal update and Letters to Governor Gavin Newsom and Senator Nancy Skinner, August 3, 2022
We’ve held off UC’s insatiable land grabbing. Preserving People’s Park is now much more than a distant possibility. . . . IF WE CAN PAY OUR LAWYERS! We currently owe them $79,000.00! THEY MUST BE PAID!! Our History, Our Park, Our open green space are invaluable. PLEASE DONATE, here or https://www.peoplesparkhxdist.org
ALL DONATIONS WILL BE RECORDED AND REIMBURSED IF WE WIN THE CASE!
